How much does it cost to have firewood delivered to your home? We bought our wood at Publix last year and they've raised their price this year. How do you compare the amount of wood you buy by pack to a delivered supply?

Haven't bought firewood since I moved here over 6 years ago from PA. I don't know if you have the ability to pick it up, but there are always ads for free firewood on craigslist. 9 posted in the Upstate within the last month.

genrally its because they want some tree out of their yard, so then you have to chop it up yourself, just a heads up. Nothing is free these days .

I'm sorry I wish I could help you, its a good question I bought firewood yesterday at ingles for $4.80 a bundle or something like that, just so you know

Wow...I just split about 10 cord here in my home in New England for Winter heat.

Let me tell you, up here wood sells for about $200 a cord. (Cord = a 4'x4'x8' stack). If you made a cord out of those supermarket bundles, you are paying about $600.00 a cord! No joke.

Someone in your area must sell cord wood.

Actually, a couple of the recent ads on Craigslist said the wood was already split.

Many sources in the paper for average of $60/ truckload. Or, about 1/4th the price of the supermarket.

when i have purchased a cord of wood, i got it from Nelson Tree Service. it was delivered to my home already split and he stacked it. i did not get any last year but, if memory serves, it was just about $200. I cant tell you if they have gone up in price or not since then.

Looks at Sloans Feed and Seed beside Silver Bay in Simpsonville. Mr. Sloan will sell you as little or as much as you need. A lot cheaper than Publix and you will be helping out a local small business man.

That's a good price; if I were burning wood this year I'd call you only because you offered to stack for cheap.

I can recommend Jacob K. - 864-367-1251

He's a Clemson student selling firewood to help pay for tuition.

Full size pick-up truck, loaded high, delivered to Greenville and stacked where/how you want it: $100.

He can cut to custom length to fit your fire pit / chiminea, but will cost more.

Sc firewood greenville

Home

Carolina Kiln Dried Firewood is a family run business located in Greenville, SC. We source our firewood from the mountains of Western North Carolina and the Upstate of South Carolina. We strive to provide a superior product while still using local and sustainable raw materials.

Kiln dried firewood might seem like a new concept to some, but to those who use wood to heat their homes or to cook with, they know the benefits of this special wood. Our wood is all broad-leaf hardwoods dried in huge kilns over several days to extract or "cook out" the most moisture possible. Over 1200lbs of water is cooked out of a cord of our firewood. What that means for the consumer is:

  • No bugs

  • Home storage

  • No mildew

  • Less smoke

  • Burns Hotter

  • Fewer "pops"
