Root Any LG Device Easily with Stump Root

Android is an awesome operating system known for its open source attribute. It offers hundreds of devices to choose from one of the cheapest to the costliest ones. This most popular platform stunning on its own becomes more powerful when you gain root access on it. If you have an unrooted device, you have been experiencing just the half of what it can offer. Rooting unleashes the true capability of an Android device. By using root apps, custom mods, ROMs, frameworks and kernels, you can enjoy the best possible system optimization, performance tweaks and graphic customization.

There was a time when it was not possible to root an Android phone or tablet without using a computer. We had to use different tools for rooting different devices. Moreover, most root-toolkits were made for Windows only. As a result of phenomenal custom development activities, more refined, safer and easier-to-use methods have been evolving now. Cross-OEM tools like FramaRoot and TowelRoot does not even need a computer. You just have to install an Apk on your device and tap a button in the app to get it rooted.

Now we have another amazing root-tool in the form of an Apk. Famous developer jcase has collaborated with some other renowned names like IOMonster, Autoprime, PlayfulGod and the result is an universal root exploit for LG devices.  The root exploit is called Stump Root and works on almost all LG phones and tablets released since 2012 till data.

How to root this smartphone? Needed help. Thank you. Hello, did you find the way or an article to root this phone? I tried following E400 manual, but it doesn't work. Thanks SuperOneClick with rageagainstthecage. Do a quick search on the forums first, there is a tutorial here about rooting this phone Where? I cant find it. Please don't let it be a secret Download SuperOneClick here and root with rageagainstthecage method. Ok, I'll give it a go -as long as you promise I wont brick it BTW is there a free way to unlock it around? Havent been able to get it to root. Superoneclick hangs on waiting for device. I havent used it before - the expolit options are just Auto, psneuter and zergrush. They all hang. Should rageagainsthecage be an option there? I'm too Sent from my LG-E435 using Tapatalk 2 I cant even get it to install new apps to the external sd card with the "pm set-install-location 2" method when i execute "pm get-install-location" it comes back with "2", but then when I try to install an app from the play store it goes straight to internal memory!" I went for the E430 because it has "jelly-bean" but its a very limited phone if I cant get root and/or install apps and apps data to the external card So, on further research.... its jelly bean and I dont think rageagainstthecage exploit works on that (even though I cant find it on superoneclick) Also jelly bean has disabled app2sd entirely. There is a workaround where a script can swap sd/external sd so the os thinks ext mem is internal, but I havent been able to try it as it requires root to work. So, we'll just have to twiddle our thumbs until someone who has a E430 actually roots it and lets us know how Help http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2278309 Sent from my LG-E435 using Tapatalk 2

[Q] Rooting LG Optimus F3 for Virgin Mobile

I've been searching the web for how to root LG Optimus F3 for VM, I found nothing. I tried looking on how to root any Jellybean device all I got was a reboot and nothing. After upgrading from a Kyocera Event and having it root, I've missed all the features and it has just been one day. Can someone please share any information they have, on how possibly I can root my device. Thanks! Motochopper. One click root. Enjoy. I tried Motochopper, worked flawlessly. Also tried this method, worked first time and was very fast. Easiest root I've ever done Sent from my LG-LS720 using Tapatalk 2 used motochopper to root the f3...put phone in usb debug mode and ran the run.bat file and everything was a sucess but the "move to sd" option is not showing in apps2sd when i try to move one of my apps to the sd card. any ideas anyone? Probably because not being able to move apps to the SD card a 4.1 thing. Where can I download MotoChopper? Can someone give me quick directions to run the .bat file? maybe you can try bin4ry Anyone know about ROM dev for the F3? I am looking for same. Phone is rooted but can't move apps. We NEED a ROM, or at least a way to move-down load apps to SD !

Possible new way to root by Chainfire

Chainfire released a new root tool that uses an exploit in Gingerbread called "Gingerbreak". This might be an easier way to root the Play/Arc/Neo/Pro and it might also work on phones with locked bootloaders. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1044765 Confirmed working http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1045204 could anyone confirm it working on the Play? honestly i got so many important applications and data and i dont want to lose them regards I ran Gingerbreak on Xperia Play. Superuser installed but showing nothing in apps. Installed titanium backup but not showing in app list. I guess it didn't work. Any ideas? works great for me, maybe a reboot is required ? Can anyone confirm weather running Gingerbreak will wipe the sd? I ran it on a blank sd because I don't want to try with my primary sd. this simple way of rooting works great for me, and I am a total newbie. All apps are there and i was able to remove some apps finally that came with the xperia like the chinese keyboard Sd card will not be formatted Titanium won't work on my play. I purchased pro for my hero, and i can install, but the application is just not available in the app draw. 'My backup root' installs and works fine but i just can't find how to remove the bloatware with it. I do have root access so what can i use to get rid of what's app, postcard etc ?? gingerbreak v1.2 works great doesnt wipe anything its just a simple .apk to install edit: yea so none of the gingerbreaks are working for me anymore it keeps getting stuck at running exploit this may take a few minutes, left it for 2 hours and still nothing this getting old fast im going back to my X10 for now till something is out there guaranteed to work everytime peace Didn't work on my xperia play. Installed it to phone, formatted my sd card and when i run gingerbreak it get's stuck on running exploit with my sd card unmounted. In another thread someone said that if you go to storage and manually mount the sd card it will reboot and work. But.......this again did not work for me. Going to try the manual root.

[Q] Get "Access Denied" when accessing external SD Card via Wireless Storage

Am trying to use LG's Wireless Storage function to copy files to the external SD Card from Windows 7 (IE11). Whereas it works fine with the internal memory (sdcard0), but I have only write access to the external SD card. It seems I can only write to it via the USB cable. Any idea why this may be, and more importantly how to fix it? Also why is it all so slow?? You need root for third party apps to be able to write to the sdcard in lollipop. Thanks. Haven't received the Lollipop update yet, and prefer to wait for the official update. What is the easiest safest way to root? Happy to do this now my warranty has expired... I assume the official Lollipop update will come through even if I root? Take a look at the CWM 6.0.5.1 thread for v500. I'm assuming you have a v500. If you want to receive the official update from lg (if there is one), then you have to go back to stock with lg tool. I was under the impression (not sure where from) that the lollipop update was coming , albeit in a few months. Frankly I can't be bothered with loading a 3rd party operating system like Cyanogen, I did it on my old HTC desire and it took a certain amount of dedication. Having said that I really should root it so I can do things like run Titanium... Is there an easy way to root it? Guess I'll have to do some searches ... Stumproot is the program I used for 4.2.2. Use the brute force option. Hmm - I tried stump root , but it says "Device is rooted" (which it isn't). The Grind button is disabled, and there is no Bruteforce button. I am running 4.4.2, maybe that is the problem... Have you downloaded SuperSu from the play store? This will manage root access. Also, if you are root, highly advise installing recovery and making a backup first thing. The headache this saves later is well worth the effort. Thanks verymuch, and I know that having recovery set up is a wise thing to do, but can't be bothered with it just yet. I thought simple rooting was easy to do, but I guess it isn't so Ill revisit the whole thing when I have some more time. In the meantime accessing the external SD card will require plugging it into my PC.. Stumproot says you are rooted? You still need SuperSU from the playstore to manage permissions. Rooting is easy. The problem is that it is NOT rooted, despite what StumpRoot says. Titanium says it is not rooted, and I'm sure I'd remember if it was rooted... SuperSU won't install. I can download the ap but when I run it, it fails to install itself.

S ON - Temp Root - Newb Questions

Hi all. I know there are other posts which do in a way explain this however they are not so simple for a newb like me to read. Here is where I have managed to get to with rooting my Desire S, S-On. Temp root achieved with Gingerbreak 1.2 apk. Managed once to get the SD card to stay mounted however Rom Manager refused to download, so I downloaded the APK and emailed it to my self which installed. Then the SD Card disappeared, I have tried taking that SD card out and putting a new one in (still wont mount). During this time I have Superuser, however I cant mount the SD Card. Once I restart Superuser goes. Maybe myself and everyone one else will have to wait until a software version comes out, something like ODIN? No XTC things close to me My question is, is there a way to mount my SD card via the computer? and if so how. I guess you have to wait. The only working way currently is with XTC Clip. That worked for me. Ok seeing as the title states newb questions, I have one - what are the benefits of Superuser? Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA Premium App Allows root access to the phone, meaning you can install custom roms, mess with the cpu speed etc. Thats my understanding anyway.. Thanks lucca - I thought that. I can see lots of messing around ahead! can we achieve temp root on s-on ? as i would like to restore apps from my backup root the question is if you must the SD to root the phone?.. it cant be done using the internal memory right? Maybe you can try plugging the cable to a computer and taking it out... maybe it will block it(like it always do when you plug) and then unlock it... I never even tried this stuff so i cant really help, but good luck with it! does anyone know how to achieve temp root? with this gingerbreak can i use it to do this if so can someone [post an apk of which they used and it worked for them gingerbreak 1.2 from chainfire is working

How to Root LG Tribute 5 LS675

Rooting a phone was never been easy in the past but thanks to the community of developers now there are various apps that allow you to root your phone without the need of computer. Below are the two step by step methods in which i have mentioned how you can root you phone with or without PC.

Before following one of our methods to root your device please activate debugging mode in your smartphone.

1) Using Kingroot App

  1. Download and Install kingroot app by following the link (http://d.kingoapp.com/default/KingoRoot.apk).
  2. Once the app is downloaded on your smartphone tap on the app for installation.
  3. Before installation the app required your permission because you are installing a custom app so when a pop-up prompt message will be appeared titled INSTALL BLOCKED just go to SETTINGS and tap on UNKNOWN SOURCE as shown in Figure.
    kingroot-install-blocked
  4. Now the app will begin to install, once installed open it and tap on button ONE CLICK ROOT.
  5. Once the process is finished your phone will be rooted. Be patient during the period of root because some can take upto 30 minutes to root and make sure your phone does not disconnect from internet during rooting.

2) Through Root Genius Software

The second method to root is quite bothersome and you need usb cable and computer to root.

  1. Go to the following website “http://rootgenius.com/” and download the software on your computer.
  2. Extract the zip file and install the software on your computer.
  3. Now connect your smartphone in computer via USB cable.
  4. Make sure you enable USB DEBUGGING mode in your smartphone.
  5. After enabling USB DEBUGGING open the software and click on button Root It.
  6. Wait for few minute till rooting process is complete. After the process is complete go to your smartphone SETTINGS -> APPS and check if a Kinguser application is installed. If you found the app listed there then rooting has been installed perfectly.

If you are looking for more apps like Kingoroot then try these out – Framaroot and SRSroot.
