RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Skateboarding, in-line skating, and BMX freestyle biking are “High Risk Activities”. Wear a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards at all times. (Know your ability and skate or ride accordingly.)

2. The skate park is a skate or ride at your own risk non-supervised facility designed for skateboarding (34″ maximum length), in-line skating (4-wheel maximum per skate), and BMX freestyle biking only.

3. The skate park hours will be posted at the entry. The Wadsworth OH City “No Trespassing” ordinance will be enforced when the park is closed.

4. Motorized vehicles, scooters, or other wheeled devices are not allowed within the skate park.

5. Inspect the surfaces before you ride them. Remove all trash, debris, and objects that may prevent a smooth safe ride. Report any damage of skate park surfaces to the Wadsworth OH City Parks and Recreation Department

6. No skating or riding when wet, raining, snowing or during skate park maintenance periods.

7. Graffiti in the skate park is illegal and will not be tolerated. Keep the park surfaces clean as graffiti and abuse will close the park for paint removal and repairs.

8. This park has been designed for beginner to intermediate skill levels. Be courteous to others using the facility and other park patrons. Parental supervision is strongly recommended.

9. Profanity, reckless and boisterous behavior is prohibited.

10. No competitive or demonstration events or amplified music are allowed without prior written approval from the Wadsworth OH City Parks and Recreation Department.

11. Smoking, illegal drug use and consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited.

12. Public restrooms and telephones are located at the scorekeepers building (seasonally).

13. Violations of any of these rules or regulations may result in closing of the skate park facility,and/or violators may be ejected and banned from the facility.

A concrete park of decent size.. good for beginners and experts alike..

Wadsworth Skate Park

The Wadsworth Skate Park is located in Valley View Park and is a free facility inspired and designed with the help of local skaters.

The City of Wadsworth has established the following rules for your safe and enjoyable use of this facility. The City of Wadsworth reserves the right to close this facility for any reason. The City of Wadsworth authorities, at their discretion, reserve the right to restrict entry to the facility and ask persons to leave the facility as the result of disorderly conduct, disturbance of the peace, rule violations, or unsafe behavior. Any person not complying with these rules will not be permitted to use the facility. The City of Wadsworth has the right to modify these rules at any time.

  • Please skate wisely at all times. Skateboarding and skating can be hazardous recreational activities. Use of the facility may result in minor injuries, as well as more serious injuries including but not limited to broken bones, paralysis, and death.
  • Use of this facility is strictly at your own risk. The City of Wadsworth does not assume any responsibility for loss or injuries. This is an unsupervised facility.
  • Skate within your own skill level.
  • The Skate Park is designed for skateboard and inline skate use only. Riding, operating, or utilizing any device other than skateboards or inline skates is not permitted.
  • Persons 10 years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult.
  • The Skate Park opens at dawn and closes at dusk. Use when closed will result in a trespass citation and possible seizure of equipment.
  • Be respectful of neighbors. Please keep the noise to a minimum.
  • Skate safely. Please be respectful of all skaters. Take turns. Look ahead before you start a line.
  • Safety equipment, such as helmets, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards, shall be worn by all Skate Park users. Shirt and shoes shall be worn as well.
  • Certain weather conditions may create unsafe surfaces for skating.
  • Spectators are required to remain outside of the skating area.
  • All organized events require advance, written approval from the City of Wadsworth.
  • Please report any damage, hazardous conditions and concerns to the Wadsworth Parks Department at 330-335-2845, suggestions to the Wadsworth Recreation Department at 330-335-2859.
  • For serious injury or other emergencies, call 911.
  • Misuse of the Skate Park will result in expulsion or prosecution.

The River To Sea Transportation Planning Board, also known as the TPO, a collection of Flagler and Volusia County transportation and government officials who plan for future transportation needs in the region, meets at 9 a.m. The executive director will update the membership on Flagler County’s fixed-route transit operations plan. In the TPO Conference Room, 2570 West International Speedway Boulevard, Suite 100, Daytona Beach.

The Flagler County Economic Opportunity Advisory Council meets at 9 a.m. in board chambers at the Government Services Building, Bunnell. Heather Shubirg, vice president of business development at Enterprise Florida, is expected to address the panel.

The Flagler County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meets at 10 a.m. in the First Floor Conference Room, 1769 E. Moody Blvd., Bldg. 2, Bunnell.

A meeting of the Compassionate Friends is scheduled at the Vitas Office at 4 North Old Kings Road (across from Kentucky Fried Chicken) in Palm Coast. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. Please note the later starting time. The Compassionate Friends, a nonprofit self-help bereavement support organization for families that have experienced the death of a child. Announcements:

East MalaCompra Road and Malacompra Park closed for dunes restoration: The easternmost section of MalaCompra Road will be temporarily closed as Flagler County’s dune restoration project moves south. Sand deliveries will begin Monday morning (Feb. 26). Flagler County has just completed its fifth week of work on the project, and completed the work at Washington Oaks Garden State Park. Revegetation of the recently shaped dunes is expected to occur over the next few months. “This next phase of dunes restoration construction will start at Bay Drive Park near Sea Colony and move southward to the MalaCompra access point,” said County Engineer Faith Alkhatib, who is overseeing the projects, which will cost upwards of $25 million. High tides, daylight, and weather affect the length of the workday.

In Flagler Beach, More Beach Walk-Overs Open: Last week the city re-opened six additional Beach Access Stairways /Dune Crossover locations, South of State Road 100. The following walkovers are currently open and the newly re-opened locations are identified in bold red:

SENATE HOLDS FLOOR SESSION: The Senate is scheduled to hold a floor session. (Wednesday, 10 a.m., Senate chamber, the Capitol.)

TEXTING WHILE DRIVING, OPIOIDS AT ISSUE: The House will hold a floor session and is scheduled to take up dozens of bills, including a proposal (HB 33), filed by Rep. Jackie Toledo, R-Tampa, and Rep. Emily Slosberg, D-Boca Raton, that would make texting while driving a “primary” traffic offense. Among other bills is a proposal (HB 21), filed by Rep. Jim Boyd, R-Bradenton, that would take steps to curb the state’s opioid epidemic. (Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., House chamber, the Capitol.)

‘PIP’ REPEAL ON AGENDA: The Senate Health and Human Services Appropriations Subcommittee will consider a proposal (SB 150), filed by Sen. Tom Lee, R-Thonotosassa, that would repeal the state’s no-fault auto insurance system. The system includes a requirement that motorists carry personal-injury protection, or PIP, coverage. (Wednesday, 4 p.m., 401 Senate Office Building, the Capitol.)

CABINET AIDES MEET: Aides to Gov. Rick Scott, Attorney General Pam Bondi, Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam and state Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis are scheduled to meet to discuss issues in advance of a March 7 Cabinet meeting. (Wednesday, 9 a.m., Cabinet meeting room, the Capitol.)
